“WONDER Vol. 1” is the first in a series that explores and loosely connects the photography, painting and design of Gary Edward Blum. An experimental journal of sorts, Blum examines the connections between these mediums by juxtaposing elements within the varying work. Sometimes obvious, at other times vague, leaving space for the viewers interpretation. Blum views the publication as an extension of his artistic practice. The design, scale, and binding of the piece are visual cues meant to present the viewer with more than a simple publication, but an object worth artistic consideration on its own.
